The grand inauguration ceremony, with the parade of teams, kicked off in Porto, Portugal, the Final 8 of the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup, the final stage of the continental team competition dedicated to the NextGen, a key commitment of the International Padel Federation to the development and growth of the champions of the future. From June 30 to July 4, eight men\u2019s teams and eight women\u2019s teams will compete for the European title. Once again, the challenge will be against Spain: two years ago, in the Budapest edition, it prevailed in both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s competitions, with France and Sweden completing the men\u2019s podium and Italy and Portugal finishing second and third respectively in the women\u2019s draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
International Padel Federation president Luigi Carraro thanked the City Council of Porto, the sponsors, with special mention to Mimosa, and the Portuguese Padel Federation for the work done in organizing the tournament. Luigi Carraro also highlighted the evolution of the institutional relationship with Ricardo Oliveira and with the Portuguese Padel Federation, underlining the growth of Portuguese padel and the work carried out in recent years. “After some more difficult beginnings, we are now great partners and friends.” The international leader also believed that Portugal is already beginning to reap the rewards of the investment made in the development of this sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, the draw for the men\u2019s and women\u2019s groups took place, defining the bracket for the final stage. In the men\u2019s competition, alongside the national teams already qualified through the FIP Ranking \u2014 Spain, France, Sweden and Belgium \u2014 Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and Denmark also reached the Final 8 after passing the qualification phase. In the women\u2019s draw, where Spain, Italy, Portugal and France had already qualified directly, Belgium, Sweden, the Netherlands and Estonia complete the Final 8 list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
