Discussions regarding <strong>draw sizes<\/strong> have also been opened.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Premier Padel, the world\u2019s leading official professional padel tour, and the <strong>International Padel Federation (FIP)<\/strong> today announce the highly anticipated <strong>Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour 2026 calendar<\/strong>, featuring <strong>26 tournaments across 18 countries<\/strong>, with almost <strong>75% of events played indoors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2026 season will enter <strong>two new markets<\/strong>, with debuts in <strong>London (United Kingdom)<\/strong> and <strong>Pretoria (South Africa)<\/strong>, as well as the return of <strong>Valencia (Spain)<\/strong>\u2014key additions to the European and African calendar that reflect the continued global expansion of professional padel in major sporting nations. This announcement follows the unveiling earlier this week of the <strong>Hexagon World Series<\/strong>, an innovative project developed in collaboration between the FIP, Hexagon Cup and 54, in which Premier Padel participates as a shareholder and key strategic partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the <strong>Hexagon Cup<\/strong> (Madrid, January 28 to February 1), the <strong>Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour 2026<\/strong> will kick off with the <strong>Riyadh Season P1<\/strong> on February 9. The Tour will then host its first Spanish event of the year in <strong>Gij\u00f3n<\/strong>, before travelling to the Americas for the second editions of the tournaments in <strong>Mexico (Canc\u00fan)<\/strong> and the <strong>United States (Miami)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The circuit will then return to the Middle East, North Africa and Europe, with tournaments in <strong>Qatar (Doha)<\/strong>, <strong>Egypt (New Giza)<\/strong> and <strong>Belgium (Brussels)<\/strong>, before heading back to South America for events in <strong>Argentina (Buenos Aires)<\/strong> and <strong>Paraguay (Asunci\u00f3n)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Europe will take centre stage between <strong>June and October<\/strong>, with tournaments held in some of the continent\u2019s most iconic sporting capitals and cities. Before the mid-season break in August, Premier Padel will debut in the <strong>United Kingdom (London)<\/strong> and <strong>South Africa (Pretoria)<\/strong>, where fans will enjoy the world\u2019s best players for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The calendar will also include the return to established venues such as <strong>Italy (Rome and Milan)<\/strong>, <strong>Spain (M\u00e1laga, Valladolid, Valencia and Madrid)<\/strong>, <strong>France (Bordeaux and Paris)<\/strong>, <strong>the Netherlands (Rotterdam)<\/strong> and <strong>Germany (D\u00fcsseldorf)<\/strong>. The Tour will then return to the Middle East, with tournaments in <strong>Kuwait (Kuwait City)<\/strong> and the <strong>United Arab Emirates (Dubai)<\/strong>, with the <strong>FIP World Championships<\/strong> taking place between two Premier Padel events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The season will conclude with the <strong>Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals<\/strong>, which will return to <strong>Barcelona<\/strong> for their third edition, from <strong>December 7 to 13<\/strong>, where the <strong>top 16 men and women from the FIP Race Ranking<\/strong> will compete for the 2026 season title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The \u201cStar Point\u201d system introduced in 2026 and dialogue opens on draw sizes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2026 season will also mark the implementation of the new <strong>\u201cStar Point\u201d scoring system<\/strong>, driven by the need to balance tradition and innovation, improve player welfare, enhance broadcast appeal and strengthen the fan experience. Each game will allow a <strong>maximum of two advantages per pair<\/strong>; if the game is not decided, a <strong>golden point<\/strong> will be played, with the receiving pair choosing which player receives the serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>November 28, 2025<\/strong>, the <strong>FIP General Assembly unanimously approved<\/strong> an update to the Padel Regulations to include this new scoring format (<strong>FIP Padel Rules: Rule 1 \u2013 Scoring in a game, Option 2: Star Point System<\/strong>), among other amendments. This same system will also be applied to the <strong>CUPRA FIP Tour<\/strong> from 2026, starting with its opening event, the <strong>FIP Bronze Melbourne Padel Open<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the consultation process regarding the Star Point system, several stakeholders raised the issue of <strong>draw sizes<\/strong> at Premier Padel tournaments. As a result, Premier Padel and the FIP have opened this discussion for 2026 and will continue conversations with the entire padel ecosystem in the new year, with the aim of providing an update in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Sugden<\/strong>, CEO of Premier Padel, said:<br>\u201cThe 2026 calendar represents a fantastic moment for professional padel, with the Tour entering three new cities and reaching a broader audience than ever before.
