IPMA presents its international project at the Sports Summit Madrid with the support of Hexagon Cup

The International Padel Media Association (IPMA) took center stage with a notable institutional presentation during Sports Summit Madrid, one of the leading gatherings for the sports industry in Spain, in an event held at the Hexagon Cup stand that brought together representatives from the sports sector, media outlets, institutions, companies, and professionals linked to the growth of the sport. The presentation served to officially introduce the IPMA project, an organization created with an international vision that seeks to connect journalists, media outlets, content creators, and specialized padel platforms within a single professional and collaborative network. The event was attended by numerous participants from the sports and institutional spheres, as well as representatives of partner entities and members of the organization. Among them were Astrid Thams, Carlos Almazán, and Manu Arenas, representing Hexagon Cup, one of the main international padel competitions and one of the association’s strategic partners.

During his remarks, IPMA president Iván Hernández explained the origin of the organization and the reasons that led to its creation. “Padel has experienced extraordinary growth in recent years, but its communications needed an international structure capable of connecting the professionals who cover this sport in different countries. IPMA was born to unite, collaborate, and strengthen specialized padel communication on a global scale,” Hernández said before those attending.

The association’s president also highlighted the importance of building bridges between media, federations, clubs, brands, organizers, and companies, helping to further professionalize communications and encouraging the international dissemination of projects, initiatives, and competitions related to padel.

The IPMA presentation took place amid strong interest from the professionals present at Sports Summit Madrid, consolidating the growing relevance that specialized communications is gaining within the sports ecosystem.

The day was also marked by several top-level sporting activities held on the central court installed by Hexagon Cup. Among them, an exhibition starring Spanish tennis player Pablo Carreño stood out, generating great interest among those attending the event.

Later, the audience was able to enjoy an appealing padel match that brought together two generations of great sporting figures. Former professional players Mati Díaz and Maxi Grabiel shared the court with Peter Alonso Martínez and Chema Montes, delivering a high-level spectacle that crowned a day dedicated to sport, innovation, and networking.

IPMA’s presence at Sports Summit Madrid marks a further step in its strategy of expansion and international consolidation, strengthening its role as a meeting point for specialized media and as a key interlocutor between communications professionals and the main players in the padel industry.

With initiatives like this, the International Padel Media Association continues to move forward in its goal of contributing to the growth of padel through more connected, professional, and global communication, fostering collaboration between those who cover the sport and those who work every day to help it grow around the world.
