Daniel Gamarra Appointed as the New Director of Communication of the Professional Padel Coaches Association (PPPCA)

The Professional Padel Players Coaches Association (PPPCA) has appointed Daniel Gamarra as its new Director of Communication. With his arrival, the association of professional coaches aims to strengthen a key area and thereby increase the visibility of its projects and affiliated members.

With more than 10 years of experience as a padel coach, Daniel has developed his career in different clubs in Spain and abroad, delivering training clinics and coach education courses in the United Arab Emirates, Europe, and Africa. In addition, Daniel is part of the commentary team for the Premier Padel circuit and the International Padel Federation (FIP).

As a journalist and communicator, Daniel has worked for media outlets such as Agencia EFE and El Confidencial, and has collaborated with specialized padel media such as Padelspain, Padelworldpress, and Capital Radio. He has also worked in the press office of the Spanish Congress of Deputies, the financial company Bit2Me, and the communications agency Quum.

As a player, Daniel was ranked among the top 10 junior players in the Community of Madrid and competed for several seasons in absolute category tournaments of the Madrid Padel Federation (FMP).

Javier Pozanco, coach and President of the PPPCA, highlights “Daniel’s career as a professional coach and as a communication expert within this sport.” This, combined with his status as a member of the association, “makes Daniel the ideal person to lead communication, media relations, and serve as the official spokesperson of the Coaches Association.”

“From the PPPCA, we warmly welcome him and sincerely thank him for accepting the responsibility of this position, with complete confidence that his work will be carried out in an impeccable manner,” Pozanco emphasizes.

In the opinion of Guillermo Alcaide, Sports Director of the FIP, “the strengthening of the Association’s communication department represents a strategic step for its consolidation and for the orderly global growth of padel.” From the FIP, “we value this progress as a commitment to professionalization and knowledge generation, and we believe it will provide greater visibility to the educational and technical work.”

For Alcaide, “this is also reflected in the PPPCA’s contribution to the FIP Academy project, a key aspect for the evolution of the sport that will mark a historic turning point in the global growth of padel.”
