MADRID – January 28, 2026 – The Caja Mágica became the epicenter of padel on Wednesday afternoon with the celebration of the 11th edition of the PadelSpain World Padel Awards (PWPA) 2025. Held within the framework of the Hexagon Cup, the sport’s leading annual gala honored excellence, innovation, and sporting performance in a season that has firmly established padel as an unstoppable global phenomenon.
The ceremony brought together the main figures of the industry, from players to executives and manufacturers, and stood out for its massive public participation. After weeks of public voting, a total of 339,458 votes from readers and fans worldwide determined the winners across the 15 award categories.
Establishment and Rising Stars
On the sporting front, Arturo Coello and Delfi Brea claimed the awards for Best Male Player and Best Female Player, respectively. For the Valladolid-born player, this recognition marks another milestone in his short yet highly successful career, proving that his world No.1 status is the result of hard work and consistency rather than coincidence. Brea, meanwhile, was recognized for her outstanding consistency and leadership throughout the 2025 season.
The generational handover also took center stage, with Francisco Guerrero and Martina Fassio named Breakthrough Players, highlighting the excellent health of the Spanish talent pipeline.
On the sidelines, Jorge Martínez was honored as Best Coach, in recognition of his tactical and developmental work with some of the world’s top players.
Innovation: The Engine of the Industry
In the equipment category, Adidas emerged as the big winner of the night, receiving the award for Best Racket with the Metalbone 3.4. Wilson won Best Ball, while Babolat claimed Best Shoe for the Jet Premura 2.
The gala also featured a deeply emotional moment as Carolina Navarro, former world No.1 and now retired from competition, received the Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award. A career that took her to the very top of the rankings and earned her enduring affection from fans worldwide.
