IPMA brought the Kuwait Major to a wider audience with eight media members on site

The International Padel Media Association (IPMA) was in Kuwait throughout the week for the Kuwait Major, the season’s third Major event. Eight of its members travelled to Kuwait to provide broad and engaging coverage of the competition.

Alongside reporting on the action inside the 20×10, the team shared personal stories, captured the tournament atmosphere and showed audiences what happens behind the scenes. The aim was to introduce the Kuwait Major to audiences beyond the country and help padel continue to grow internationally.

Coverage included interviews with the players and other key figures, post-match analysis and insights from leading names on the circuit. It also offered a closer look at the organisers’ work, the impact of elite padel’s arrival in Kuwait, the atmosphere in the stands at The Arena Kuwait and the sport’s growing popularity across the Persian Gulf region.

The team consisted of Iván Hernández (Contrapared), Àngels Fábregues (diario Sport), Álvaro López (PadelSpain), Mónica Montes (Víbora del Pádel), Adrián Illescas (La Casa del Pádel), María Atance (Glovolea), Raúl Bonsi and Marina Hernández (Marina Infopádel).

The coverage was supported by British sportswear brand NUSENCE (nusence.co.uk) and featured StarVie ( Starvie.com ) padel rackets. Coordinated with the tournament promoter, Kuwait-based company BNK, the initiative represented one of the largest joint coverage efforts in specialist padel journalism.

With this deployment, IPMA strengthened its commitment to the professionalisation of padel sports coverage. As audiences increasingly look for accuracy, immediacy and reliability, the association worked to provide a complete and engaging view of one of the events with the highest ranking points and prize money on the international calendar.
