The International Padel Media Association (IPMA) held its official international presentation this Tuesday during the Padel World Summit, the leading professional event of the padel industry, held at Fira de Barcelona.
The event took place at the Greenset stand, a globally recognized leader in sports surfaces, and was supported by Joma. The presentation brought together communication professionals, federation representatives, brands, clubs, event organizers and key stakeholders from the international padel ecosystem.
The launch attracted attendees from various countries, as well as IPMA members who traveled from Spain, France, England, the United States and Ukraine, reflecting the international vocation on which the association was founded.
Among the distinguished guests were Astrid Thams, representing Hexagon Cup; Alfonso Monferrer, President of the Valencian Padel Federation; and representatives from companies, institutions and organizations linked to the development and growth of padel at both national and international levels.
During the event, IPMA President Iván Hernández explained the origins of the association, an initiative that began taking shape in 2023 following discussions among industry professionals about the need to create an international structure capable of connecting specialized padel media from different countries.
In his speech, Hernández highlighted that:
“Padel has become a global sport, but its communication still faces important challenges in terms of connection, coordination and international projection.”
He also explained that IPMA was created to bring together journalists, media outlets, content creators and specialized platforms under a professional network that contributes to improving information quality, visibility and the international growth of padel.
“IPMA was not created to replace anyone, but to connect, collaborate and generate opportunities for all professionals who work every day reporting on our sport,” Hernández stated during his speech.
The association currently has a presence in thirteen countries across Europe and the Americas, bringing together digital media, radio stations, audiovisual platforms, journalists and specialized content creators working within the padel ecosystem.
The presentation also highlighted the importance of specialized communication as a strategic tool for the sport’s growth, as well as the need to strengthen relationships between media, federations, clubs, events, brands and companies that are part of this rapidly expanding industry.
The support received from organizations already collaborating with the association was also acknowledged, including Hexagon Cup, the Valencian Padel Federation, Greenset, Joma, Bonabola, NAC and other stakeholders committed to the development of padel and its media ecosystem.
The event concluded with a message of unity and future, recalling one of padel’s most recognized expressions:
“Padel unites.”
A motto that inspires the founding philosophy of IPMA and its commitment to building bridges between those who communicate the sport and those who help it grow every day.
With this official presentation at Padel World Summit 2026, the International Padel Media Association begins a new chapter with the goal of becoming the leading global network for specialized padel media and contributing to the strengthening of communication in a sport that continues to expand around the world.
